Joseph Gladu Obituary

Joseph Gladu was a strong man, born in Portland, Maine. Joe was strong in his Christian faith. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Joe was a hard worker and athlete. He worked two jobs the majority of his life. He retired twice, as a School Teacher from the Kent County School System and from the Receiving Department at Dixon Valve. Joe dedicated his life to spreading the word of God. He volunteered at the Carter Center sharing the gospel to the youth. He served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and lead Bible Studies at his church. Joe is also the owner of an amazing singing voice that he used at every opportunity to rejoice and give thanks to the Lord. Joe could talk for hours discussing the Bible, Education and Sports. Joseph was survived by his current wife, Polly, son, Michael, grandchildren, Niki, Chris, Lindzee, Jake, Krystal and Walter, 15.5 great grandchildren, brother, Mark and sister, Justina. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Rosa, (Frosti), daughter, Bethany, Father, Joseph, mother, Alvera and siblings, Ronald, Joyce, Marie and John. Joe will be greatly missed. However, we know he is in heaven with loved ones and we will see him again. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 14, 2024 at 1:30 pm at the Greater Impact Church, 13699 Greensboro Rd, Greensboro, MD 21639.
