Bill Sieffert Obituary

Bill Sieffert, 80, passed away unexpectedly on January 18th, 2024, at his home in Chestertown, Maryland. He was born on March 12, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late James Bernard and Frances Sieffert, growing up with his three siblings, James, Robert, and Linda. He graduated from Ohio State University where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He practiced dentistry in Chestertown, Maryland for over 50 years, and retired in 2020 to make more time for his hobbies, tennis and studying the Bible.

Bill was a loving father to his two children, Peter and Page, and a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren, Will, Jake, Sebastian, and Mila. He cherished every moment he spent with them and taught them how to play tennis, his favorite sport. He also shared with them his love for the eastern shore of Maryland, where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and crabbing.

Bill was an active member of the Washington College Tennis community, where he played regularly and participated in tournaments and social events. He had just recently taken up Pickle Ball at the local YMCA.

Bill will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children, Peter Sieffert of Carlsbad, CA, and Page Sieffert of Nosara, Costa Rica; his grandchildren, Will, Jake, Sebastian and Mila; his sister, Linda Sieffert of Davie, Florida; his brother, Robert Sieffert of Central, South Carolina; and ex-wife, Cindy Griswold.

A celebration of life will be planned for July 7th of this year (2024). Please contact Bill's sister Linda for further details - [email protected]
