George Elliott Obituary
Jacksonville - George (Bubba) Wayne Elliott, 75, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024. He was born June 24, 1948 in Springfield the son of Everett and Claribel Elliott.
He is survived by his children; George Elliott, Vicky Vedder, sister; Gale Elliott, 3 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sisters; Mary Elliott, Karen Rockhill, and brother Gary Elliott in infancy.
"Bubba" went to highschool in Ashland, Illinois. He also spent many of his years as an Operating engineer at the local 965. He loved racing stock cars, and he enjoyed his drag bikes. He also loved his family. He would spend as much time with his beloved grandchildren as he could.
A visitation to honor George "Bubba" Elliott's life will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26 at Williamson Funeral Home. Memorials may be left to the donor's choice of charitable organization. Condolences can be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.

very sorry to hear of the passing of "Butch". I went to school with him at Ashland Junior high and Ashland high school - the class of 66. also rode the school bus with him when we were just little kids. Very sorry for the loss for his family.

Gonna miss ya my good friend, we had a lot of good times and lots of laughs together though the years! You will be greatly missed by all of us that hang out at KTK! One last thing my friend, it´s your fault not mine!! Lol!!! Ride on Bubba till we meet again!! Love ya!

We are so sorry to learn of George´s passing. We all sure had some great times together. So much fun following 00 around to the different races. Good memories of all the neighborhood working on the car in our garage. So many good times...maybe a few nit so good God will have His hands full with our big Bubba there.
Jim is having some issues and I am close behind him,so, as much as I hate it, would love to see all of you, but we are no business getting out in crowds and the weather. We love each and every one of you and you are always in our prayers and welcome to come visit us any time.
