Mark A. Tiemann
Jacksonville - Mark A. Tiemann, 67, of Jacksonville met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, May 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born Feb. 28, 1957, in Jacksonville, the son of Byron and Jeanne Rex Tiemann. He married Monica Bishop, May 3, 2000.
Surviving is wife, Monica of Jacksonville; children, Danielle Vaughn, Joshua Ballard, Timothy (Andi) Villa, Matthew (Tiffanie) Villa, Rebecca (companion, Tyler Coultas) Elliott, Marcus Tieman, and Kristin (fiancé, Brett Bratsch) Tieman; brother, Brett (Joann) Tiemann, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Gregg Tiemann and Sheila Huey.
Mark managed several local taverns and owned his own, Tiemann's Speak Easy, for several years. His business was people and always found the greatest joy in getting to know someone. Mark, a known storyteller, could always spin a vibrant tale that left you wondering if it were fact or fiction - a fine man that blessed us with many a fine memory. Mark Tiemann – Husband, Father, Paps, Friend, and Christian – cherished, above all else, his wife, children, and grandchildren. He left indelible marks on all those he touched, leaving behind a legacy that will be carried far and wide.
Cremation rights have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to The Salvation Army, Jacksonville, IL. Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.

So sorry for your loss. I spent most of my elementary/middle school years at the Tiemann house. Sheila and I would bug Mark as much as we could or as much as he would let us. Lots of great memories .
