Nicole Reynolds Obituary
She was born Dec. 21, 1992, in Springfield, the daughter of Raymond C. Reynolds Jr. and Judith Ann Proffitt Reynolds.
Nikki is survived by her parents; one sister, Jessica Reynolds of Alexander; maternal grandmother, Lorraine Proffitt of Alexander; paternal grandparents, Raymond C. and Barb Reynolds Sr. of Springfield; her boyfriend, Jake Knight of Jacksonville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Nikki was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John W. Proffitt Sr.
Nikki was entering her senior year as a student at Franklin High School in Franklin. She had attended kindergarten through 9th grade at New Berlin prior to enrolling at Franklin. Nikki had attended Capital Area Career Center in Springfield as a junior and planned to pursue a career in radio broadcasting. She was a cheerleader and had participated in track and field. Nikki was crowned Ms. Franklin in 2009 and had been a contestant in the 2010 Morgan County Fair Queen Pageant. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Springfield. Nikki loved camping and fishing, and mushroom hunting on her Uncle Joe's farm. She possessed a special talent for creative writing, loved music and singing, children and animals. She especially loved spending time with her boyfriend, Jake.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, where family will meet friends from 5-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the family or to her sister Jessica's college education fund. Ray, Judy and Jessica, 13 years is a long time to watch someone grow and have them swept away in an instant. Nikki lived her short life to the fullest. She wasn't afraid to attempt anything. Take comfort in knowing that she was so loved. My girls have so many great memories of their childhood together. May you find peace in the coming days.

What can i say..Nikki was my best friend, i have never had a friend like her, i could tell her anything at all and she would do her best and make me feel better....I have known her for a little over a year i met her on facebook, i loved getting on knowing that she would be there, and we would goof on each other for being up so late, i called her my little nightowl that made her laugh...I will never have another friend like you nikki so loving, caring, energetic, kind, i could go on and on about how awesome you are..I will miss our late night texts and fb messages..I will love and miss you forever until i can see you again..Still can't believe this is real..I love you my little nightowl..My love thoughts and prayers go out to Jess, Jake and family...I myself have lost a daughter i know what you are going thru i pray for all of the family

Dear Nikki's family, especially Jessica,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I know I am going to miss her extremely also. Nikki was such a joyful person and so friendly and outgoing that the world has lost a lost with her departure! I myself believe that Nikki was too much for this world anyway; her vitality, energy and rambunctiouness was so constant and so energizing that many people did not know how to take it, but I loved her. I am going to miss her sweet smile and kind heart, but I also believe that right now she is in the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus! I will never forget the night she gave her heart to Jesus in our Panama City Youth Conference trip. She was so full of joy and excitement that she wanted to be baptized right there and then, that day, in the darkeness of the ocean's water. And that she did! A group of us adults and teens made a bee line to the ocean waters and Elizabeth did the baptism. I still remember her sitting there in the balcony of the hotel, aroung midnight, calling her mother, or someone back home to share what she just had done. Precious moments... I will never forget and know also, that one day I will see her again.
