Shirley Winter Obituary

Shirley Winter
Jacksovnille - Shirley Braun Winter, wife of the late Kenneth Winter passed away in the evening of February 16, 2026. Shirley was born December 27,1935. She was the youngest child of Fred and Delia Braun. After being born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she met and married Kenny while he was in the army. They started their family after moving to Jacksonville in 1959. Together they raised three children - Daryl (deceased), Darlene Koch (Bill) and Donna DeGroot (Terry). Shirley loved her family including her grandchildren - Cody DeGroot (Jozy) and Chris DeGroot (Quinlan), four great-grandsons - Owen, Crue, Reid and Ellis. Shirley was a very creative and crafty person with her crocheting, embroidering, and coloring.
A private graveside service will be held at Asbury Cemetery celebrating the life of Shirley. Memorials are suggested to Murrayville-Woodson Food Pantry. The Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family.

We were so very sorry to learn of Shirley´s passing. She and Your dad were such good friends to Marvin and Delores.
