Todd Viel Obituary

Todd J. Viel, 58, of Keene, passed away on Oct. 20, 2024, following a period of declining health.He was born on Nov. 8, 1965, in Dover, son of Donald Viel and Sherron (Murphy) Merrill. He lost his father at a very young age and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Gerald. He attended Spaulding High School and Keene High School. Todd was passionate when it came to watching sports, especially any New England team. He cherished his time with family and friends. Todd leaves behind his wife of nearly 14 years, Kathy (Durham) Viel, of Marlborough; his son, Chris Viel, and his fiance, Lexi, of Keene; his parents, Sherron and Gerald Merrill Sr. of Keene; his stepdaughter, Stacie Cushing, of Marlborough; his grandson, Chandler Viel, of Keene; his siblings, Donald Viel Jr. and Kenny Viel, both of Dover, Kevin Viel of Manchester, Donnie Viel of Keene and Gerry Merrill Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Swanzey; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In keeping with Todd's wishes, the family will celebrate his life privately.
