TYLER J. BARNES
FAIRMONT — Tyler J. Barnes, of Fairmont, was born July 9, 1995, to Larry Johnson and Anita Jacobs Barnes in Robeson County, N.C., and departed this life on April 12, 2018, completing his journey of 22 years.
The funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Morning Star Community Church with Revs. Roosevelt Scott, Richard Barnes and Randy Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Fairmont.
Tyler and his family attended Morning Star Community Church, where he was active in the Puppet Ministry and played the guitar. He loved God and loved his wife, Brittany, and his children, Kayden and Embrie. In his spare time he enjoyed riding four-wheelers, working on his truck and playing golf.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, Brittany Lee Barnes, his son, Kayden Isaiah Barnes and his daughter, Embrie Rhayne Barnes, all of the home; his parents, Larry Johnson and Anita Jacobs Barnes of Fairmont; his sister, Lauren Barnes of Fairmont; his paternal grandparents, Larry and Becky Barnes of Fairmont; maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Jacobs of Lumberton; his paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Hunt of Fairmont; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kevin and Mishalean Deese of Fairmont; a brother-in-law, Korey Deese; a special uncle, Pastor Richard Barnes and wife, Tasha, of Pembroke; his aunts, Melissa Hines of Raeford and Karen Henderson of Lumberton; special friends, Rev. Randy and Margaret Freeman, Makayla and Jacob Freeman and Rev. Deatra and LaTosha Locklear; several cousins and great-aunts and great-uncles; and a host of many friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Boles-Biggs Funeral Home of Lumberton.
Services are entrusted to Boles-Biggs Funeral Home.

He promises at Hosea 13 : 14 to empty the grave of our loved ones from death. Tears of pain and sorrow will be replaced with tears of joy.
