Florence Masters Obituary

Florence Masters AMARILLO - Florence Berilla Fisher-Wilson-Masters, 90, of Amarillo, former Cotton Center resident, died Sunday, May 29, 2011. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today, May 31, 2011, in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, with the Rev. Bradley Spear officiating. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home. Florence was born at home in Petersburg, Texas, on Dec. 4, 1920, to Edgar Lee and Mary Fisher. She graduated from Petersburg High School and later married. Florence lived her life and raised her family in reverence and love toward her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her son, E.C. Wilson, in June 1960. Survivors include her four children, Jean Wilson of Canyon, Mary Henry of East Bernard, James Wilson and his wife, JoAnn of Wylie and Marvin Wilson and his wife, Gail, of Amarillo; one sister, Ruth McDowell of Little Rock, Ark., 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. We loved Florence. What a wonderful lady who always had a sweet smile! She worked hard and thought of others! We still have some Iris plants that she gave us more than 30 years ago. She loved her family and was so proud of them.
Florence was a true blessing in our lives.
