Fred Gonzales Obituary

Funeral Mass for Fred D. Gonzales, 82 of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Gonzales died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, in Lubbock. He was born Dec. 27, 1934, in Brady, Texas, to Manuel and Betty Diaz Gonzales. He married Sally DeLaCerda on July 4, 1956, in Plainview. He is survived by three sons, Manuel and Diane Gonzales and Tony Gonzales both of Plainview and Gilbert and Kris Gonzales of Denton; three daughters, Christine Bernal of Plainview, Cynthia and Freddy Mancias of Little Elm and Julie and Lorenzo Medina of Lubbock; one brother, Paul Gonzales of Lubbock; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife and one son, Alfredo Gonzales.
