Rex Alan McGuire

Rex Alan McGuire LUBBOCK -- A memorial service for Rex Alan McGuire, 46, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church in Lubbock with the Rev. Michael Passmore, pastor, officiating. Cremation arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Home. Mr. McGuire died at his home last week. He was born Sept. 2, 1958, in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School. He was a journeyman electrician and was in the commercial window business for many years. He was the owner of Solarcoat Window Tinting. He was a longtime member of the Texas Twisters Ski Club. Survivors include his mother, Betty Deavenport of Silverton; a brother, Max of Lubbock; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gina and Brian Clifton of Lubbock and Donna and Dusty Bownds of Sundown; two nieces; and three nephews. His father, Mack McGuire, died in 1999. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following services and suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock or the donor's favorite charity.
