Ricky Riddle

1953 - 2018

Ricky Riddle, 64, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church with Lanny Voss and Mike Schafer officiating. Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
Ricky was born June 5, 1953 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to James and Margaret (Parish) Riddle. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1971 and married Debbie Terrell on August 18, 1973 in Plainview. He was honored with the first tennis scholarship from Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. He later graduated from Texas Tech University in 1975 and worked as a Certified Public Accountant where he was a partner of Moseley and Riddle, CPA.
His love for sports included Sunday afternoon golf with the group, Texas Tech Men's Basketball and the Houston Astros. His definition of family was not limited to blood, but included his friends and his clients who he served faithfully until the day he died.
He is preceded in death by his father, James G. Riddle and a brother, Randy Riddle.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Riddle of Plainview, two sons, Ryan Riddle and wife Jennifer of Collierville, TN, Trent Riddle and wife Meredith of Lubbock; his mother, Margaret Riddle of Plainview; two brothers, James Lee Riddle and wife Carolyn of Odessa, Terry Riddle and wife Kim of Odessa and six grandchildren, Cailyn, Reagan, Brennon, Lincoln, Hogan and Sutton.
