Kaylee Smith Obituary

Kaylee Nicole Smith, 23, of Lafayette passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at IU Hospital in Indianapolis.
Kaylee was born in Crown Point on July 5, 1991. She was a 2009 graduate of McCutcheon High School in Lafayette. She was a student at Purdue University and employed as a server at Pizza Hut. Kaylee loved playing softball and enjoyed music, dancing and singing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving is her son, Silas DeVoe Smith, mother, Rhonda Smith (Paul) Fleury of Lafayette; her father, Jason Lintner of Whiting, Indiana; and her father, Scott (Angela) Lee of Wisconsin; siblings, Cody Lintner of Rensselaer, Brandi (Doug) Jordan of Mississippi, Chase Lee and Alyssa Lee, both of Lafayette, Alexandria "Lexi" Lintner and Trinitie Lintner, both of Lowell, Indiana and Charlotte Fleury of Lafayette; maternal grandparents, Keith and Linda Smith of DeMotte; paternal grandparents, Michael and the late Marcella Lintner of Rensselaer and Les and Sandy Lee of Lafayette; and great-grandparents, John and Lucille Lynch of Rensselaer.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer with Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Cemetery of the Resurrection in DeMotte.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

My deepest prayers go out to a beautiful, gorgeous kaylee's family... May U have some peace knowing she is w/ our saviour JESUS Christ! I was very fortunate to see her only on a few occasions - but her light was extremely bright! God bless u all- I'm a one year CANCER survivor myself- it's a horrific disease, always taking the finest! Much love to Jason- a loving father!

Such a beautiful young lady. Kaylee was a fighter. She fought that "stupid cancer" with everything she had. Prayers to Silas and Kaylee's entire family who have been by her side.
