Linda Gaffield Obituary
She was born to John C. Kennedy and Grace (Purdy) Kennedy on Dec. 4, 1943. In January 1967 she married Pearl Patton. He preceded her in death in February 1970. Upon that marriage, son Coy (wife Kama) Patton was born. On Oct. 6, 1973, she married John Gaffield. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1992. Upon that marriage, a daughter was born, Cindy (husband Tom).
Linda enjoyed watching NASCAR, wrestling, playing games on the computer, Bunco, Bingo, word search, planting flowers, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Rex, her cat, was the charm of her life.
In addition to her children she is survived by her companion, Meryle Patzschke and siblings, John (Rita) Kennedy, Augusta, Ga., Sam (Betty) Kennedy, Morocco and Charles (Mary) Kennedy, Morocco. Also surviving are three grandsons, Zack, Nate and Steven; one granddaughter, Vanessa; three great-grandchildren, Addie, Mabel and Everett; and three step-grandchildren, Cole, Stephanie and Steven.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 22 from 2 - 6 p.m. CT at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco on Monday at noon CT, with Pastor Joshua Cowan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Morocco.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette Food Finders or any of the Newton County and Jasper County food pantries.
