Dearest Janet,
Please know that we are so sad to learn about Andy's passing, this is a loss that touches so many in a very profound way. We are at a loss for words. Just know that Bill and I are here and if there is anything at all we might do for you, Alex, or Taylor, please let us know. Bill is going to Israel in a few weeks, and will offer prayers on behalf of Andy and all of you. With much love and prayers, Lynn and Bill

I took care of his patients years ago. I will always remember how proudly he wore the scrub tops made of material his daughter picked out. My sincerest sympathies to the family.

Dr. Schwartz saved my Mom's life in 2008 when she had a pleural bleed which had been misdiagnosed as a pneumonia. She was headed for a ventilator but he took the chance and found the problem and fixed it. She is doing well at age 87 thanks to Andy.
I worked with him at Shawnee Mission Hospital for many, many years and saw him care for so many that others could not. He was a great surgeon and man!

I was an RN who worked with Andy. I won't say we always agreed but his patients were always given the best of care by him. He was one of the very few physicians who shook my hand and gave me condolences when my husband passed away and that showed me his kindness and compassion and acceptance of my real self. RIP
