Penny Schwartz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Options Funerals & Cremations Inc. on Mar. 30, 2026.
Penny Lynn Piemeisel (nee Schwartz) of Oak Creek, passed at the age of 61 following 14 months of recurring infections, ending in heart failure & breathing problems.

She was born to Gerald & Darlene (Rodman) Schwartz on Sept. 11, 1964 at St. Francis Hosp. She spent the majority of her adolescent years being raised in their eventual home in Cudahy. She attended Cudahy High School, where she met her then high school sweetheart; they graduated in June of 1983. She & Jim went on to be married in June of 1986 and spent very few days apart for almost 40 years. She spent most of her adulthood as a homemaker & mother to her 2 girls.

They were blessed with 2 children, born nearly 10 years apart, and is jokingly said to have been the president of both their fan clubs! There was one thing she may have enjoyed more than the title of mom, and that is when she became a grandma to the two lights of her life in 2014 & 2019! She was lovingly renamed "Nena" due to the eldest's temp speech delay, and well, it stuck!

She is survived by her husband, James (Jim), daughter Laura (Blake) Stachowiak, daughter Emily Piemeisel (fiancee Cole Halliburton) and her 2 grandsons Evan & Connor. She is also survived by her brothers Donald (Suzanne) Schwartz & Timothy (Mary-Kay) Schwartz, and sister Brenda (Paul) Daniels, as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Jerry & Darlene, sister Connie & Pamela Schwartz, and great-niece Aryannah Calaff.

No funeral services are planned, but there will be a Celebration of Life luncheon held on Sunday, April 12th from 11am-3:30pm at Joe's "K" Ranch located at 4840 S. Whitnall Ave. in Cudahy. The venue is asking for a rough headcount, so if you will be in attendance, please call/text Emily at 414-630-5756 or email [email protected] by Monday, April 6th. Interment will be a private burial with immediate family only
