Lester "Bucky" John Morris passed away at Conway Medical Center in Conway, S.C. on January 15, 2016. He was born October 1, 1940 in Washington, D.C. He was the son of late Arnold Brown Morris and Mary Ann Morris. He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda C. Morris of 23 years and five children. Paul Morris of Lorton, VA, Richard C. Pyles Jr. (Immeka) of Lawton, OK, Dawn-Pyles Spivey (Shannon) of Conway, S.C., Shannon Vereen (BJ) of Florence, S.C., and Shawn Patrick Morris of Surfside Beach, S.C. He was also the "Pappa" to 11 grandchildren.
Bucky worked for the Metropolitan Police Department for 2 years. He then joined the Prince George's County Police Department in 1967. He retired in 1992 after 25 years of service. His rough, tough yet gentle and loving spirit will be missed greatly.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:30 on Saturday, January 23 at Lee's Funeral Home in Clinton, MD. For friends in South Carolina there will be a Memorial Service announced at a later date.
