Best Family,

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to all of you on the loss of our friend and former Sunday School teacher. David's love of the Lord Jesus, his deep understanding of Scripture and his own personal experience challenged and called us to seek more, do more and, above all, love God more. We are grateful for his tireless efforts, witness and example. May God bless and keep you all in the days ahead.

The lose of a family member is always hard to cope with but when it happens to be a close family member and a person who touched everyones heart and filled it with hopfulness and peace hurts the worse. Uncle David was a good man but with all the pain he went through he still was always there to lend a helping hand. He is now in heaven with Mother, Grandpa, and God who are are all watching over us and helping us see the goodness in others. I would rather have him with us but it is good to know that in heaven there is no pain and he can watch over his family forever. I Love you Uncle David. Aunt Kathy we are all here for you, I Love You.

Kathy I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I haven't seen David I don't think since I left Aynor and moved to Myrtle Beach, but I remember how nice, sweet and kind he was in the 7th and 8th grades. I had heard that he had become a minister, and that didn't surprise me at all. I know you have lots and lots of memories to keep him close with you and wonderful memories at that. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sorrowful time in your lives. Judy Allen Edge

Thinking of all of you at this time and remembering the times we all spent together at Mrs. Rabon's at Christmas and Hollidays. You all always made me and my family feel so welcome and a part of the family. David was such a kind and generous person and always happy.

I send my deepest sympathy to all of David's family and friends. Like David, I am a United Methodist pastor in the Marion District. I became better acquainted with David by serving with him on a Kairos prison ministry team a number of years ago. David was one of the most appropriately named people I have ever known. In more ways than I can count, he was the "Best" man. May God comfort you and bless you.
