Glenn Cannon Obituary

MOUNT PLEASANT | Glenn Charles Cannon, husband of Dolly Dangerfield Cannon, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at home.

He was born Aug. 9, 1946, in Conway, a son of Edgar E. and Jessie Edwards Cannon.

He was owner/operator of Suburban Fuels and Fuel Express South of Mount Pleasant. He was an active member and chairman of the board of trustees of First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms. He was a Navy veteran and served on the DD707 ship. He graduated from Moultrie High School and was past president of Wando High Booster Club.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly Dangerfield Cannon; his mother, Jessie E. Cannon of Mount Pleasant; three sons, Glenn Ashley Cannon and his wife, Kelley, of Mount Pleasant, Charles Dax Cannon and his wife, Treva, of Charlotte, N.C., and Spencer O'Neil Cannon of Isle of Palms; a grandson, Mason Cannon; his aunt, Rebe Beale of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant chapel.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
