Helen Horton Obituary
Mrs. Horton was born in North Carolina, a daughter of the late Minnie and T.A. Little. She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Tilley; her husbands, Robert F. Tilley Sr. and James A. Horton; 11 siblings; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horton was a member of First Baptist Church of Surfside Beach.
Surviving are her son, Robert F. Tilley Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rosser Tilley; grandson, Christopher A. Tilley; granddaughters, Beth Swanston and Lisa Hillingmayer; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Horton was also cared for by a special friend, Wendy Gray.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Surfside, with the Rev. David Pohto officiating. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, N.C. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
