Words can never explain just how much I loved being a caregiver for Jean. She was such a graceful woman.I loved getting her all dressed up to go out to lunch with Big Tom...even on her not so good days she loved having her hair..nails and clothes being just right! We often sat and listened to old gospel hymns on my phone..talked about our grandchildren and enjoyed the birds outside. My heart is happy because I know she had a happy reunion in heaven!Thank you Brittain family for making my job enjoyable.Hugs and prayers!

My sincere sympathy to Tom and all the family. Have special memories of Jean. Our church ( Calvary UMC at Swansea, SC was their first charge). My husband and I was also a young married couple at that time and enjoyed Jean and Tom and was so thankful to have these two wonderful people to share their faith with us.

Such great memories of Jean and 'Big Tom' while we were part of First Methodist in Myrtle Beach. I'm thankful that they continued to remember us on occasion with prayer cards when they pulled our names from the 'bowl.' Our sincere condolences to all the family. We love you all.

Dear Rev. Tom, Tommy, Jan and Family,
Im so very sorry for your loss of your beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. All of you, her family, are her legacy and she loved and cherished each of you. Though I personally didnt know her that well, she always seemed to exude a quiet grace and great fortitude. She would want you all to be comforted by your sweet memories of times spent together. A woman of great faith; shes Home now with her Lord and Savior. May you all be held close in Gods arms and covered up with His Peace. In HIS Love, Diane Alsop - WCUMC
