Jenine Skiavo Obituary
Mrs. Skiavo was born in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Mario Tirabassi and Marie Tirabassi. She attended All Saints Episcopal Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Marie Tirabassi of Md., are her husband, Joe Skiavo Jr. of Surfside Beach; a son, Joseph Skiavo III of Surfside Beach; a daughter, Layna Skiavo of Surfside Beach; four sisters, Michelle Tirabassi of Md., Lisa Hardesty of Md., Joy Angelin of Md., and Sharon Cox of W.Va.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, with The Rev. David Ball officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Ste. 101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

We were so saddened by the news and if we had heard earlier would have been there. Your Mom was such a ray of sunshine and her smile truly brought joy. Dear Joe, Layna & Joseph: My memory of Jenine is this darling, playful cousin whenever we visited Aunt Marie or she would come to Aunt Ethel's in WVA (my mother). My mom and Benny thought the world of her and all of you and had fun times with you in SC. My heart just broke when little Joe told me of his mother's passing while he was at Piggly Wiggly in Surfside. I respected Jenine so much and her fight with cancer. I also have cancer and we would always chat and give support to each other everytime she was in there shopping. She was always upbeat, kind and considerate. Her faith in God never wavered and she would pass that on to me and always told me that God was in control, not us. She has touched many lives and I will be ever grateful that she touched mine in a way, only a cancer patient could understand. When I told her that my last test report came back normal, her face just glowed and gave me a big hug, never thinking of her own battle that she was going thru. What a wonderful woman, wife, mother and friend to everybody who knew her. I will certainly miss her smiling face at Piggly Wiggly and I shall never forget her.

To our wonderful "Beach" family whom we loved so dearly. The times have passed by so quickly and Layna and Joseph are all grown up. A mother like Jenine is a special person because she gave so much of herself in everything she did. She always loved it when Glenn would send her fresh veggies from our garden. Glenn and I, Billy, Bryan and Betsy and their familes all send their love. Sorrow is a fleeting emotion, but love is infinite. God is always in your corner at a time like this, and so are we.
