Joan P. Hale, 89, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Summit Place.
Born on January 15, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK, she was the daughter of the late William and Pauline Price Shepherd.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her children, Dick Hale (Sally), Carrie Spencer, Melissa Sargente (Joe), Paul Hale (Teresa) and Peter Hale (Bekah); sisters, Peggy Martin and Jean Hamilton; grandchildren, Keith Payette, Kendra Linn, Danielle Hawkins, Emma and Luke Hale, Sarah Lu, Jonathan, Rachel, Abbie, David, Maggie and Ruth Hale. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Hale and son, Robin Hale.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 28 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UCSF Child Life Services, P.O. Box 45339, San Francisco, CA 94145-0339.

Dick, I should have opened the attachment before writing to you. Sorry, too hasty. But you know I love my Hale family very much, and will miss Joan badly. Hopefully she´s with Richard, Robin and Kath right now. Love to all you brothers and sisters.

She will truly be missed. Always could tell a wonderful story and make you laugh.....She has now gone to a better place and will be with her husband and Robin.....Thinking of you and all your family.
