Im so very sorry to just hear now of karen's passing.. I knew Karen from the sandbar days :) and kept in touch after that for a while through the internet, too see her from a distance (from Canada-land) .. I am sending my deepest, Deepest sympathies, to karen, and to her family.. I was in the middle of a move and just have recently got back in touch with the "facebook world" and I am so sad to just now know of, the news about Karen... I would of came to pay my respects if i had known, and could of planned too travel to be there.. .. I am so shocked and thought we would see each other again on the beach someday.(I knew how much she fought). We will see each other again, ...just on a different beach, in a more beautiful setting... xoxoxox . I will think of you Karen, knowing you are in a better place, at peace, with some of our other beach crew friends..rest well sweetie.. Love Lori Hough :)

So sorry for your loss Doc & Gregory. Karen was a true friend and will be missed greatly. I know I'll never forget her and all the experiences I had as a friend and employee at The Sandbar. The stars will shine a bit brighter at night now that Karen is among them.

Dr O'Brien please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Karen was such an inspiration to so many. Her spirit was one of always being a giver with a heart full of kindness. She will certainly be missed by so many. I know she must be be dancing and enjoying the sunshine of heaven with her sweet mother Billie. Such a blessing to know they are with OUR Father with perfected bodies and spirits and no longer dealing with the pain of cancer. Praise whom all blessings flow - and know we will see them on the other side again.
