She was an employee of Ann Taylor Boutique and Wicked Stick Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, where she resided while attending college.

A graduate of Pee Dee Academy, she excelled in sports and academics.

Laura was a vivacious and talented young lady whose broad smile and winsome personality endeared her to everyone.

She is also survived by her boyfriend, Chad Prater, an Army Ranger stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Predeceasing Laura were her paternal grandfather, Ira Tooney Killer and her cousin, Neal Baker.

Services for Laura Elizabeth Miller will be Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 5 p.m. at Reedy Creek Baptist Church in Rains, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Darrell Floyd, pastor of Reedy Creek Baptist Church, will conduct the services.

Visitation will be prior to the service at 3:30 p.m.

Tommy, Phyllis & Kyle,
It has been so long since we have seen you, but we remember you often. We are able to smile when we remember "little" Laura. We remember her birth as if it were yesterday, when you were across the street from Chapin CO, at the Diamond Center. May God bless and keep you close during this painful time. Please know that we are keeping your family in our prayers daily. Love to you all.

I know what it is like to loose a loved one before you want to let them go. My mama ( Faye Rogers ) died 3 weeks ago and I feel like each day I miss her more and more. But I do see the light at the end of the tunnel. Laura was a classmate and though I had not seen her in a while I will truly miss her. She always looked like an angel and now she is one. You are all in my prayers. Remember God is the ONLY one who can help you heal at this time.

I sit here now still in shock and unbelievably saddened that U R no longer here. Im trying 2 figure out why this has happened. It doesnt make sense and NEVER will. Someone who was as fun, positive, energetic, sincere, loving...need I go on 2 have left us so suddenly. I sit here now overwelmed with the thought of never talking 2 U again about absolutely nothing that we so randomly did. I am hearbroken beyond belief and I can honestly say at this point in time Im never going 2 B able 2 get over this. I feel very lucky that I was one of the choice few 2 B able 2 hold your hand and say goodbye before you went off 2 heaven. I will never forget you telling me that I was an "amazing person" for me getting myself through my accident as I have. And I know sit here and think of of I am going 2 B able 2 get myself through this tragic loss of U being the strong person you have always known me 2 be. I am going 2 find a way 2 keep you and your namesake alive forever. I will miss you more than anyone will ever know but Im pretty confident that you already know up there. I love you and will forever be greatful 2 call you a friend.

Tommy, Phyllis and Kyle,
I am so sorry for your loss. I did not hear about any of this until Friday. I will remember your family in my prayers at this time of loss. I am sure that with time, the hurt will begin to heal, but I am certain that it will be very hard. She sounded like a wonderful young lady and I am sorry that I haven't saw her since she was small to witness this for myself. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.
