Fayetteville, N.C.
Mrs. Marjorie Blue Parrish, 90, of Fayetteville died Sunday, July 31, 2011, in the Rehab & Healthcare Center at Village Green.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Victory United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Smith and the Rev. Maurice Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday in the church fellowship hall from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
She was employed by Burlington Mills for 28 years and worked at the Farmhouse Restaurant in Myrtle Beach for 10 years. She also was employed by Roses for 10 years. She was a member of Victory United Methodist Church for over 40 years and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Parrish; and a daughter, Sherry Thompson West.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Thompson Dunn and husband, Donald of Myrtle Beach, and Mitch Parrish and wife, Pam of Raleigh; sister, Betty Ruth Nobles; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory United Methodist Church, c/o United Methodist Women, 404 Quality Road, Fayetteville NC 28306.
Arrangements are being handled by Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
