Nathan Housand Obituary

LORIS | Mr. Nathan Eugene Housand, 89, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Loris Community Hospital.

Mr. Housand was born October 22, 1918 in Loris, South Carolina, to Mr. Addison Luticious Housand and Mrs. Amanda Louvenia Edwards Housand. Mr. Housand retired as a tobacco farmer and was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving Mr. Housand are his wife, Thelma Marie Altman Housand; his two sons, Glenn Housand and wife, Jan, of West Columbia, and Terry L. Housand and wife, Elizabeth, of Loris; his daughter, Janice Lewis and husband, Fred, of Timmonsville; his five grandchildren, Darrell Housand, Todd Housand, Amanda Sims, Kristi Housand and Cheryl Lewis; and his 12 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by both parents; and his six brothers, Hubert, Mayo, Van, Blune, Cleve and Bud; and his four sisters, Mandy, Callie, Lessie and Blanche.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 in Patterson Cemetery. The Rev. Lloyd Williamson will officiate services. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Hardwick Funeral Home.
