Rita Kenny, 76, went to be with our Lord on July 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving husband, Donald Kenny, and her daughters, Janet Forman and Rita Taylor, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Rita was born and raised in Hammonton, NJ, where she married Thomas Cardia and owned Cardia Farms and Cardy's Custard. After losing her husband, Tommy, and her beloved son, Tom, she married Donald Kenny and moved to New York, eventually retiring in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Rita was an extraordinary wife, mother, friend, and businesswoman. She adored her poodle, Oprah, and often stopped by her local animal shelter to donate. She loved travel and casino visits with her daughter, Rita Mae. Rita led an amazing life, going from small-town girl to a successful businesswoman, while traveling the world. Rita was truly one of a kind and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald, daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Glen Forman, daughter, Rita Mae; five grandchildren, Dianna, Andrew, Amanda, Jake and Ava, and her great grandson, Glen Tyler.
Donations can be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or to your local animal shelter.
Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.

Rita was a delight to be with. My times with her in Europe and across the USA were many and highly amusing. She never worried what others thought. There were none like her in my circle of friends. Love Bill and Jenny
