May 12, 2007
Bill and Jean O'Quinn from Tuscaloosa, Alabama send our heartfelt sympathy to all of Roger's family and friends. We used to hangout back in old days (1975-1979) riding harleys, hanging out at Tire Town and partying with Roger. He was kindhearted, soft-spoken, loyal friend. Always willing to help anyway he could. May he rest in peace. Our prayers are with you all.

We are deeply saddened by the news Roger has passed on. Our company has been dealing with Northgate Tire for many years, and it was always a pleasant experience dealing with Roger. A lot of us consider Roger not only a business acquaintance, but a friend. he was a wonderful man, and we will truly miss him. God bless you Roger.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Roger for the better part of the last 15 yrs. You would be hard pressed to find a kinder, more honest guy. At Northgate it was never about the price or the tires, but more about the man behind the tires. Roger always told it like it was, shot you straight, and was more than fair. You can never put a price tag on that. It has been a honor to know him, and consider him as my friend. I'm sure many people share these thoughts. Roger, we raise a glass to you. You will be greatly missed. I wish to pass along our greatest, and heartfelt sympathy to Shane, and all of Roger's family. Sincerely, Brad & Beth Geiger

The care and true concern in Roger's voice almost said it all. For many years Roger exhibited the character that only a few are able to find. He made me and my Family-Mom,Dad,Wife, and children-feel secure and safe through his honest and caring nature. Roger will be missed, but thought of often. I send prayers of comfort to his family. Thank you Roger, for being the man that was just a phone call away.

To Friends and Family of Roger:

My heart was saddened to learn of the untimely death of Roger. I met him in 1988 when I came back to Myrtle Beach and moved behind Northgate in 1988. He has always been such a kind, caring man. Roger has exchanged his cross for a crown and the angels are rejoicing of his coming. Now that Roger has come to the end of his journey and traveled his last weary mile, many hearts are broken, but we can always remember his smile. Roger had so many wonderful personal attributes that made him loved by so many. Just to know him was to love him. My sincere condolences go out to everyone during this bereavement and if I can ever do anything for any of you, please let me know. My prayers go with you always.

Roger was there since the day I started driving. Whenever I had car troubles or needed routine maintinance my Daddy sent me to North Gate. Roger always had a smile for me and something nice to say, along with honest and fair pricing. It was because of his ways that I continued to go to North Gate after I became an adult and didn't have to do what my Daddy told me. Roger, I will miss your smile. God Bless your family.

Roger was such a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by our family (and probably most of Socastee). Roger was truly one of the most honest and decent guys we have ever met. We have known Roger from the "Air Force base" days. His tall stature, warm smile, and hardy handshake will always stay in our minds. He was and always will be a friend.

Roger was one of the first people I met when I moved to Myrtle Beach in 1991. He has always been caring, loving, and a lot of fun. He would have given any of us the shirt off his back if he thought we needed it. I could always count on him to be truthful and to be a close friend. Roger will be greatly missed and always remembered for his kindness, giving, loving, and fun personality. He will remain in our hearts always.
