What a delightful man Roger was! He took me to a performance of La Boheme
and a behind the scenes tour at the Met. We had dinner at a glorious Cuban restaurant with some of his friends/ cast members . We did business together and always found much to share. An unforgettable soul!

Although none of you will know me, I was a buddy of Roger's for all of our childhood days -- right through high school. His mom and my mom played bridge together and Roger and I were in musicals, plays, took dancing together and just plain hung out together. Although we have completely lost touch over the many years since college, I was shocked to hear of his death and send my love and prayers to his sister Sue and the rest of his family. It is difficult to imagine that he is gone, and since my husband and I travel every year to Hilton Head (leaving this Friday), I wish I had realized Roger was so close. He was my first introduction to "the south" and now I will always think of him as we wend our way into the "low country." Bobbe Rhodes Maynes, Shelburne, VT

I'm ashamed to say that I never got to know Roger as well as I would have liked, however, in the six months or so since we first met, he'd shown more kidness, generosity and friendship towards me than many people I've known my whole life. I feel blessed to have known him at all. My prayers go out to Roger's family and friends. God bless you.

Even though I didn't know Roger personally, I met and spoke to him at Ron Jon's through my daughter, Jami who was a Server there for quite some time. Every time I went into Ron Jon's when Roger was there he always said 'hello', nice to see you, how's that beautiful grandbaby of yours doing? He was a most pleasant gentleman with a smile that lit up the bar he was standing at. Not to mention the delicious delicacies we all sampled at Ron Jon's at one time or another. I know he will be sorely missed by many people. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet him. My sincerest sympathy to Pat & Roger's family. Memories and pictures will help get everyone through this most difficult time. God Speed...

Roger and Pat had become my friends within the past year and I must say, he will be missed. We shared lots in common... interest in music, theatre, puns and bad jokes and just plain fun. His demeanor was always pleasant.

My sincerest heartfelt feelings go out to Pat, Roger's children, his sister and to all his many friends.

On several occassions 8 guys would descend on Myrtle beach for our annual golf pilgrimmage (one of the 8 was Pat Hendrix's son Brody). Each time we were treated to the greatest feast of our lives...prepared by Roger! He took southern hospitality and cuisine into uncharted territory. Between the meal and the after dinner drinks at RJ's, the ride back to Atlanta was consumed with talk of Roger and Pat...not golf! You will be missed...by many!
