may GOD always be with you and the family hold on to God hand and all will be just fine.

To the Platt Family: My sincere love and sympathy to all of you. Gene fought a long and honorable battle with his health conditions. I have known him for many years and my late husband, Arnold Parker, considered him one of his Cherry Grove fishing "buddies", and of course we would never think of buying fish and seafood from anywhere but Platt's Seafood. The net-pulling on the beach will always be one of my families' fondest memories! May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Jean P. Parker

My mom, sister, and I got to know Mr. Eugene at the Extended Care Center. Our mom, Mrs. Volie Cameron is a patient there and her room was near his. He was always such a pleasure to talk to. He was happy and positive all the time. We are all so sorry for your family's loss in his passing. We will keep you all in our prayers in the days ahead, and we already miss him at ECC. He did love his Diet Cokes, didn't he? Wishing you all peace and comfort.

Mrs. Platt and family,
I was honored to be one of Mr. Platt's caregivers at ECC over the past few years, and enjoyed knowing him. He would quite often ask me, "Did you and your husband go out to eat this week?" He often gave me recommenda-tions which we enjoyed. He always had a smile and laugh for me. I will miss him.
Gone...to be in God's keeping.

Dear Platt Family ,
Growing up in Ocean Drive I remember riding my horse on the beach in the fall when the spot were running. I could always count on a spot sandwich from Mr. Platt . He let me poke around in the nets and never ran me off . Such great memories ! We have truly lost a part of history , but he lives on in the fine family left behind. All of you are dear to me , love Georgie

The love and devotion of Evelyn and all the family says all that needs to be said of Eugene and the life he has lived. He was a good man, a hard worker, kind and generous to all.

I remember as a teenager coasting into his Esso station on Main Street with an empty tank and an empty wallet. Instead of the couple dollars worth of gas I asked for on credit, he insisted I go ahead and fill my car. I never forgot his trust in me and I am sure he did that for many others.

I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Mrs. Platt and Family, I was very sorry to learn of Mr. Platt's passing. Mr. Platt and my dad, William B. Hardee, were neighbors at the Nursing Home in Loris. My Dad enjoyed the fish fry Mr. Platt would have every year at the Nursing Home. As a child, I remember going with my Dad to his business to get fish. Fond memories. May God give you strength. May the memories provide you peace and comfort. Judy Hardee Wooten

In behalf of my entire family, thoughts & prayers are with Evelyn & family on the passing of a good man that was respected by many. We all will cherish our fond memories, especially those of us who grew up here around commercial fishing & Eugene Platt Fish Market. Mr. Eugene suffered for many years with poor health. However, his devoted & loving wife, Evelyn, and his special kids & grands, stood beside him through good times & bad. What a great family! The family can now take comfort knowing that Eugene suffers no more & is now in God's Loving Care as he rests in peace. Thoughts & prayrs are with the family. God bless each of you.
