David D. Cowan
Born: March 21, 1957 in Detroit, MI
Died: December 22, 2022 in Ottawa, IL
David D. Cowan, 65, of Marseilles, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Ottawa Pavilion.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Robin Caldwell of St. John's Lutheran Church in Joliet officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
He was born on March 21, 1957, in Detroit, MI, to Sheridan and Ada (Moore) Cowan.
He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, gardening, boating, sailing, and driving his ATV. Outdoor life and visiting the lake were some of his greatest passions. He was a loving uncle to his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. David was a giving and honest man to his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Tim) Nelson, his brother, John Cowan; nieces and nephews, Kristin (Tim) Simpson and Andrew Nelson, great-nieces and nephews, William and Katelyn Simpson; an uncle, Peter Moore of England; and a cousin, David Goodson of England.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be directed Lightways Hospice of Joliet.
