Born: March 21, 1935 in Streator, IL
Died: August 1, 2025 in Ottawa, IL
Donna J. Lowe, 90 of Ottawa formerly of Streator, passed away peacefully Friday, August 1, 2025 at her daughter's home in Ottawa.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. Pastor Rodney Kreier will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Ray Gelsthorpe, Pat Barnwell, Ed Bowen, Jace Guerrero, Eric Gelsthorpe, Bralen Pagakis, Austin Noon, Patrick Barnwell Jr., and Dan Sedlock. Visitation will held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donna was born March 21, 1935 in Streator, a daughter of Charles and Elsie (Wahl) Shepard. She attended the Streator schools and Streator High School. She married Wayne C. "Moe" Lowe on March 22, 1952 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2005.
She is survived by a son, Wayne C. (Tanya) Lowe Jr. of Granville; four daughters, Valerie (Pat) Barnwell and Janet (Ray) Gelsthorpe, both of Streator, and Kathy (Ed) Bowen and Gail Lowe, both of Ottawa; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Doris Shepard of Streator, and Karen Baker of Tonica; two sisters-in-law, Barb Lowe and Marilyn Shepard, both of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; a grandson, Michael Noon; three sisters, Nancy Otto, Judy Fialko, and Joyce Natt; and five brothers, Walter "Bud", Marvin, Marshall, Richard "Dick", and Gary "Duke" Shepard.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
