Inez C. Gokoo of Pontiac, IL died Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 2:45am at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac, IL.
Her funeral will be held on Monday May 2, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, IL with Fr. Adam Cesarek officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday May 5. A visitation will be held on Monday for one hour prior to the service at St. Mary's Church. Memorials in Inez's name may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac is handling the arrangements.
Inez was born on September 23, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Charles and Agnes Maier. She married Dr. Federico Gokoo on January 5, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three children: Charles (Cynthia) Gokoo, Robert (Denise) Gokoo, Jeanette McAllister; grandchildren: Ryan (Joyce) McAllister, Erika (Chris) Curry; great-grandchildren: Tyler Curry, Brennan Curry and Reagyn Curry.
Inez was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pontiac, IL.

I think of you whenever I eat Worcestershire Sauce. Lol. We were out for dinner and you wanted a try it, since I used it on my meat. You were shocked, and needless to say, not prepared for the taste. I miss you my dear friend and I do think of often, besides that event.

I am so sorry to hear about Inez's passing. She was an amazing lady for sure! I spent so much time in the Gokoo house I could have gotten mail there. No better place to go when it was time to do dishes!! She broadened my food horizons at a very young age by sharing the misau soup she cooked for Doc every day and if I was lucky, steak on Sundays. She will be missed as I always loved running into her later on in my "grown up" life.
