Died: August 16, 2024 in Streator, IL
Jeanne E. Kruger, 97 of Streator, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Arc of Streator.
Her funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator, with Monsignor Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be James Kruger, Jeff Wargo, Mike Gilsson, and Brantley Mills. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service 11:00 AM Wednesday prior to services at the funeral home.
Jeanne was born February 24, 1927, in Chicago, a daughter of William and Marie (Blank) Burns. She married Elmer Kruger on August 2, 1947, at St. Anthony's Church in Streator. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2008.
She is survived by a son, James (Jennifer) Kruger of Ransom; a granddaughter, Sarah (Josh) Angelico of Streator; a step-granddaughter, Hali; and 4 great grandchildren, Chelse, Jordan, Zoey and Brantley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; and two sons, Randy and Rob.
Jeanne had attended St. Anthony's Grade School and was a class of 1945 graduate from Streator High School. She had attended ISU for 2 years.
She had worked for the Lipton Tea Company, Motorola, and SCI Corporation for many years.
Jeanne was a member of the former St. Anthony's Church and member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. She had been a choir member at St. Anthony's church for many years. She had been a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, the Altar and Rosary Society at the church, and the Women of the Moose.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
