Jerry Lee Goode, 73, of Marseilles, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Jerry was born on October 9, 1949 in Ottawa to Kelly and Judith (Thomas) Goode. He worked as a barber and owned and operated a real estate company for 49 years. Jerry married Debra Kiger on May 19, 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. He loved golfing, renovating houses, fishing, and watching his grandchildren. Jerry spent his life providing service to his local community, and had an impact on many lives. He was greatly loved and appreciated by his friends, family, and community.
He is survived by his two children, Kelly (Heather) Goode, of Marseilles, Wendy (Jon) Fox, of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Andrew and Austin Goode, Knox and Beau Fox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Judith; his wife, Debra Goode; and a brother, Gary Goode.

Kelly and Wendy, I am so sorry to read about your father passing away. I've known him since the late 1950's. He cut my hair for over 30 years before I moved to Florida. I wish I had a dollar for every round of golf we played together and I never once beat him. And, it didn't matter if it was cold or raining, he insisted we play. I have nothing but great memories of Jerry. God Bless him, may in rest in peace.

We send our sincere condolences to the Goode family. Jerry was a classmate at MHS and a friend, as well as barber to our family until we moved to Missouri. We are sure he will be greatly missed....

Jerry and I were classmates at Marseilles hi school graduating in 1967. We enjoyed playing baseball together. He was a great athlete for Marseilles high school and played quarterback on the football team. I haven´t seen Jerry in a long time since I was in the military and never really went back home. He will be sorely missed by all his friends, and he has been in my mind ever since I heard about his passing, sincerely Dennis Bault.
