Judith A. Martin, 88, of Streator went to the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at her home in Streator surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 30th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M. Monday, March 30th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Mark, Tim and Brennon Martin; Chad Donahue, Trevor McKey and Mark Morrissey.
Born February 3, 1938 in Streator she was the daughter of James and Lola (Greener) Woodward. She married Phillip E. Martin on June 24, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2017.
She is survived by a daughter, Cari Ziegler of Drippings Springs TX; sons, Mark (Bev) Martin of Streator and Tim (Dana) Martin of Streator; grandchildren, Brett Martin, Brooks Martin (Mollie), Brennon Martin, Maggie Martin (Dave Stewart), Rachel McKey (Trevor), Haleigh Martin-Morrissey (Mark), Kylene Donahue (Chad); great grandchildren, Forrest McKey, Wyatt Martin, Harper Martin, Katherine Donahue, Jack McKey, Georgia Donahue, Luke McKey and River Morrissey; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, William Woodward; and her son in law, Ken Ziegler.
Born and raised in Streator she attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1956.
She worked through the years for the Piggly Wiggly and the A&P grocery stores. She later worked as a secretary for Prudential Insurance and District 44 (Northlawn School) from where she retired.
She was a longtime member of Primitive Methodist Church in later years attended New Beginnings Baptist Church. She was also a member of the 2 or 1 Club of her church. She also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital as Pink Lady.
Judy enjoyed traveling through the years including trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Tennessee and Texas as well as many vacations with family. After her faith in Jesus, family was the most important to her and she adored her grandchildren. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the
