Died: April 20, 2025 in Rockford, IL.
Kevin W. McMullen, 63, of Streator passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at PA Peterson at the Citadel in Rockford.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 24th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Thursday, April 24th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Private family burial will take place at St. Anthony Cemetery at a later date, Streator.
Born November 16, 1961 in Streator he was the son of Jerome and Janice (Sroka) McMullen.
He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Janice McMullen of Streator; brothers, Jeff (Nancy) McMullen of Streator, Gene (Sandy) McMullen of Streator, Mark (Debbie) McMullen of Arlington Heights and Walter (Ann) McMullen of Davenport; nephews and nieces, Adam (Jen) McMullen, Matt (Jennifer) McMullen, Derek McMullen, Ashley (Mark) Kovylinski, Meagan (Brian) Stansbury, Nathan McMullen, Erin McMullen and Benjamin McMullen; 9 great nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Garrett McMullen.
Born and raised in Streator he attended Greeley Grade School and was part of the original class of the TMH (trainable mentally handicapped). He later graduated from Streator High School.
He worked through the years for Streator Unlimited and later at Center for Hope in Rockford where he resided for the last several years.
Kevin was a big supporter of Streator Youth Baseball, Streator Youth Softball and the Streator Bulldogs through the years. He was a friend to many and never knew a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
