Died: February 27, 2025 in Ottawa, IL
Margaret "Margy" Chambliss, 91, of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa with Msgr. Mark Merdian, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa prior to the Mass. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park on a later date.
Margy was born on May 13, 1933 in Edwardsville, IL to Albert and Emma (Yindrak) Meek. She married Gerlad R. Chambliss on July 4, 1953 in Alton, IL. She loved her flower gardens and spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children, Patricia (Gary) Boe of Ottawa, Michael (Mary Lynne) Chambliss of Ottawa, Barabara (Paul Anderson) Krug of Streator, and Deborah Burke of Montgomery; 14 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Ottawa Catholic Parishes.
