Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson, age 71, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Michael was born April 12, 1953 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Olie Lee and Ruby Jane (Williams) Wilson. He is survived by brothers, Roger Wilson of Ottawa and Ronnie Wilson of Franklin, IN; sisters, Beverly Thompson of Ottawa, Sue Kelsay of Columbus, IN, Lisa Williams-Padilla of Ottawa and Maria Padilla of Streator. Michael also leaves several nieces and nephews and his "baby girl" Mariana. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby Wilson and Kenny Wilson; brother-in-law Robert Thompson; and nephews Bobby Wilson, Jr and Bobby Thompson.
Michael loved playing the guitar. He would often be found participating in jam sessions with friends or playing with the rock bands Road Angel and Trauma. Michael treasured time spent with his family, particularly his nieces and nephews.
Michael will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
