Died: June 30, 2022 in Ottawa, IL
Sheila Lynn Myers, 71, of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday, June, 30, 2022 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oakwood Memorial Park at a later date.
Sheila was born on July 28, 1950 in Ottawa to Donald and Rita (Jenkins) Anderson. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1968. Sheila worked for over 20 years at many of the local nursing homes. She married Gary Myers on November 26, 1983 in Ottawa, he passed away on May 21, 2019. Sheila had many passions, she loved to travel, especially to California, enjoyed gardening flowers, and had a special love for animals, including her dogs, Winston and Lilly.
She is survived by three children, Jim (Heather) Rutherford of San Antonio, TX, Ryan (Kara) Rutherford of Ottawa and Michelle (Brad) Bain of Ottawa; nine grandchildren, Christian, Brenna, Emiley, RJ, Billie, Corbyn, Reid, Jack and Jeremy; one great grandchild on the way; her beloved partner, Clarence Sullivan; brothers, Dave (Jan) Anderson and Mark Anderson; and sisters-in-law Debbie (Mike) Kent, Betsy (Ron) Hutchinson, and Debbie Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gary.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
