Thomas Charles "Berger" or "Rink" Ringenberg, 72, of Lacon, passed away Monday September 22, 2025, 2:30pm at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family inurnment will be held at Henry Cemetery at a later date. A public celebration of his life will be held Saturday October 18, 2025, 4:00 pm at Whiskerz Pub, Lacon, IL,
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is in charge of arrangements.
Tom was born February 11, 1953, in Streator, IL to Thomas Marline and Reva Mary (Worrells) Ringenberg.
Surviving are his siblings, Shelia Orr, of Streator, Carol Knoll, of Roanoke, and Ron Stash, of Streator, his grandchildren, Chris Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson, and great granddaughter, Amelia Thompson, and a niece Lisa ( ) Smith, of Magnolia, step______, James Thompson, and his companion, Karen Thompson.
His sister, Reva Scott, brothers, Frank and John Scott, and two siblings at birth, preceded him in death.
Tom had worked as a truck driver, working for different companies over his career.
He will be remembered for his love of hunting, especially duck, fishing, any kind of sports, including Chicago Bear and Cubs, playing pool, spending time with his family and his friends. Tom was the inventor of the ball team, "The Kracker's", which he played with many of his friends over the years, and held great memories for all who was part of it. He will be missed.
