Died: October 24, 2024 in Marseilles, IL
Wesley R. "Bob" Eiten, 70, of Troy Grove, passed away on October 24, 2024.
Bob was born on October 4, 1954, in Troy Grove to Edward and June Eiten. He married Beth A. Schmitt of Streator on October 6, 1978.
He is survived by his wife Beth, son Derek (Dr. Abbie) Eiten of Streator, sister Paula (Otto) Wells of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, brother Colonel (Zonnie) Eiten of Troy Grove, brother Carl (Jean) Eiten of Byron, and grandchildren Thatcher, Elodie, and Chalmers Eiten.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Born and raised in Troy Grove, Bob grew up around the Del Monte farms and attended Mendota schools. After high school, he attended IVCC, then Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. After meeting Beth, Bob moved back to Troy Grove to build their forever home.
Bob was a hardworking man and a jack of all trades when it came to construction, mechanics, and especially drywall. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, competitive shooting, guitars, and dirt bikes.
There will be no services, with cremation rights to follow. A celebration of life with family will happen at a later date.
