74 "McRae" Rosalind L. Ferguson

SHIRLEY - Rosalind L. Ferguson, 74, of Shirley, Massachusetts, passed away at home on Monday, September 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Born in Denver, Colorado, Rosalind was the daughter of the late Lenwood and Annette (Walton) McRae. She graduated from Hirschi Senior High School in Wichita Falls, Texas, and later pursued nursing studies at the Bryman School of Nursing in Boston. She later earned an associate's degree in business administration from Lesley College in Cambridge. Rosalind dedicated over three decades to Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, where she rose to become and later retire as the Billing Department Manager. A devoted fan of the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots, Rosalind found joy in sports, travel, and most of all, time spent with her family. Her deep sense of civic duty was evident in her service as Election Warden for the Town of Shirley, her volunteer work in the Town Clerk's office, and her role as Treasurer of her condominium's Homeowner's Association. Rosalind is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Mose E. Ferguson, Jr.; her daughters Tanya A. Christopher and husband Gregg of Leominster, MA, Valerie M. Ferguson of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Teresa N. Ferguson of Holly Springs, NC; her son Darrell Ferguson of Victorville, CA; and her sister Velda D. McRae-Yates and husband Michael of Billerica, MA. She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and cherished by a wide circle of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph E. Vincent of Biloxi, MS, and her son, Reginald Ferguson of Victorville, CA. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road (Rte. 2A), Ayer, MA. A funeral service will follow on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 12 Noon at the same location. Interment will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosalind's memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Her legacy of love, service, and strength will live on in all who knew her.
