A. Regina Barauskas

DRACUT – A. Regina (Matyszczyk) Barauskas, 102, a resident of Dracut, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Willow Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William P. Barauskas with whom she shared 64 years of marriage until his passing.
She was born in Worcester on January 30, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Julian and Adela (Grabowska) Matyszczyk.
Regina was raised in Worcester and was a graduate of Worcester Classical High School. She worked as an assistant dietitian in the healthcare field for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish where she served in various ministries. In her spare time, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Regina leaves her daughter, Regina A. Paul and her husband George of Dracut, her son, William P. Barauskas Jr. of Worcester; her grandchildren, Helaina Jones and her husband Duane of Nantucket, William Frusteri of Hudson, NH, and Karen Frusteri of Dracut; her great-grandchildren, Nicholas Frusteri, Tyler Jones, Cameron Jones, Abigail Jones, Ian Godbout, and Isaac Godbout; and her great-great grandchild Piper Frusteri.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her siblings, Leo Matys, Mary Mulic, and Helen Bruinsma, and her daughter-in-law Jean Frusteri.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 115 Wheeler Rd., DRACUT. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH.
Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, TEWKSBURY.
