Terri Lynn Barauskas, 67, passed away on November 30, 2025.
Born in Cuyahoga Falls, she was a resident of Akron. She graduated from Ellet High School Class of 1977 and worked in customer service for over 40 years. Terri enjoyed crocheting blankets for family members and children in schools. But most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her six dogs brought her endless happiness and companionship. Each one knowing her as a gentle soul with a big heart. She will be missed dearly by all but her spirit will forever live on in the memories shared, the stories told, and the lives she touched so deeply.
Terri was preceded in death by her son, Steven Michael Barauskas, and parents, Robert and Barbara Ferguson. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mark Barauskas; children, Shawn Barauskas, Denise (Chris) Brannon, and Jen (Mike) Spradlin; grandchildren, Owen, Olivia, and Hunter Brannon, Riley, Grace, and Emma Spradlin; brother, Robert (Pat) Ferguson; sister, Sharon Myers; sister-in-law, Wendy Givens; nieces and nephews, John (Jen) Myers, Heather Myers, Toni (Amy) Colburn, Robert Gott, Keith Barauskas, and Lori Barauskas.
Family and friends will be received Friday, December 5th from 4 to 8pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 6th at 11am with burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
