A. Charles Bartels

Bartels, A. Charles "Chuck" Age 94 of Bloomington, passed away on August 29, 2025. Preceded in death by wife, Audrey; children, Gayle and Kevin; and brother, Ron. He will be deeply missed by daughter, Cindy Bartels; sister, Gloria; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Chuck and Audrey owned Bartels Electronics in Richfield from the mid-70's through the mid-2000's. Chuck was nearly a charter member of Portland Avenue UMC and served on many committees there. He supervised the installation and maintenance of the sound system and sang in their choir. Chuck was an avid radio control model airplane builder and flyer. He played the accordion and organ for his own enjoyment. He could also fix just about anything. Chuck was known for his green thumb with both his flower and vegetable garden. He maintained his garden well into his nineties. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5, at 2PM with visitation one hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel (9940 Bush Lake Rd., Bloomington). Interment Dawn Valley Memorial Park.
