Aaron B. McCoy, 32, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength. Born on August 30, 1992, in Bridgeport, Aaron was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was the cherished son of Major A. McCoy III and Donna McCoy and the loving brother of Philip McCoy.
Aaron was the kind of person who always showed up - not with grand gestures, but with sincerity and heart. A check-in call, an encouraging text, a thoughtful compliment - those were his ways of saying "I care." His presence was comforting, his laughter uplifting, and his words often exactly what someone needed to hear.
A deep thinker and a lover of meaningful conversation, Aaron had a profound respect for honesty and integrity. He was known for putting his all into everything he did. His work ethic was strong, and his spirit even stronger.
Aaron loved life's simple pleasures - a long walk through nature, the way the light changed in the sky, the peaceful stillness of trees. He had an eye for beauty in everyday moments, always mindful of what others might overlook. He was passionate about cars and could talk endlessly about engines, performance, and design. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his knowledge impressive.
He found joy in writing heartfelt poetry, dancing bachata and salsa, and cooking creatively in the kitchen. A self-declared foodie, Aaron delighted in discovering new restaurants and flavors - especially when shared with loved ones. He also had a deep affection for animals, especially the family's beloved pet, Caramela.
Aaron's humor, charm, and easygoing nature made him a joy to be around. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and appreciated. His gentle spirit and resilience touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Major and Donna McCoy; his brother, Philip McCoy; grandmothers Dorothy McCoy, Jean Roberts, and Wilhelmina McCoy; his uncle and aunt Winston Roberts Jr. ("Unc Jr") and Moraima Roberts ("Tia Mory"); his aunt and uncle Monica and Jerry Fisher; aunts Kim Martin, Reitha McCoy, and Nichelle McCoy; uncle Manny McCoy; Uncle Emmett Harding; and a host of cousins and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Major McCoy Jr. and Winston Roberts, and his beloved aunt, Dianne Harding.
A memorial talk will be held on Saturday May 24 2025 at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses 245 Huntington Turnpike Bridgeport CT 06610, at 2:30PM.
Though his time with us was far too short, Aaron's impact was deep and lasting. He will be missed more than words can express and remembered with love always.
