Aaron Neil Nicholson, known affectionately as Neil, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2023, in Greenville, SC. Born in Oconee County, SC, on July 23, 1942, Neil was a man of great character, known for his loving nature, selflessness, and handy skills.
Neil was a proud graduate of Wade Hampton High School, class of 1962. His dedication to hard work and craftsmanship led him to a fulfilling 25-year career as a Senior Craftsman Maintenance Tech at Cryovac in Simpsonville, SC. His expertise and commitment to his craft were admired by his colleagues and friends alike. After his retirement from Cryovac, Neil continued to utilize his skills as the owner and operator of M & N Auto Repair and Towing. His business was a testament to his industrious spirit and his ability to turn his passion into a successful venture.
Neil was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife, Mary Nicholson of Greenville, SC. He was a proud father to his sons, Jimmy (Gina B) Nicholson of Greenville, SC, Tim Nicholson of Travelers Rest, SC, and Kevin (Linda) Nicholson of Greenville, SC. He was also a doting grandfather to AJ (Veronica) Nicholson of Greenville, SC. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
An avid deer hunter and outdoorsman, Neil found peace and tranquility in nature. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his passion for antique cars. As an Antique Car Enthusiast, he spent countless hours restoring and admiring classic vehicles. His interests were a reflection of his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
Neil was a man of many talents, but his most defining qualities were his loving nature and selflessness. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was fixing a neighbor's car or helping a friend in need. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many and left a lasting impact on his community.
In remembering Neil, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by hard work, love for family, and a passion for the outdoors and antique cars. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the community he served so selflessly. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Aaron Neil Nicholson, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, will be deeply missed. His life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and selflessness. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways he touched.
