Abbie Clark Obituary

Beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, partner, friend, and shining spirit.
Abbie Jeanne Clark, a radiant 29 year old whose laughter and sense of fun illuminated every room she entered, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She is survived by her loving parents, Kay and David Clark; her step mother, Sue Edmonds; her grandparents, the late Bill and Martha Clark and Pete and Lorene Alford; and her much-loved partner, Michael Watchmaker.
Abbie was the treasured niece of her aunts and uncles-Dale Alford Lago, Donna Alford, Murray Alford Jr., Lori Alford, the late Hugo Duran, Jr., and the late Paul Clark-and she shared a deep bond with many of her cousins, close friends, and her beloved golden retriever, Oakley.
Her life was a brightly-colored tapestry woven from a love of animals, an infectious sense of fun, and an ability to be fully present in each moment. Abbie devoted many happy hours working with pets at a local pet food store, where her gentle touch, caring, and enthusiasm made every animal feel valued. At home, Oakley was her constant companion, embodying the warmth and playfulness that defined Abbie's character.
Abbie's spirit, like a shooting star streaking across a night sky, burned brightly and briefly -leaving an indelible glow that will remain within all who knew her. Just as a shooting star's colorful brilliance captivates and then lingers in memory, Abbie's joy, sense of adventure, and zest for life will remain etched in our hearts forever.
A wake honoring Abbie's life will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 4p.m., at Hull's Chapel, 1139 Saranap Avenue, Walnut Creek, CA 94595. Her funeral service will follow on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2051 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Walnut Creek, CA 94596. Reception to follow at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 1101 Keaveny Ct., Walnut Creek, CA 94597.
In remembering Abbie, we celebrate a lovely young soul who taught us to cherish the present moment, to love unconditionally, to have many adventures, and to shine brightly. Although we had her for only a short time, her memory will be a guiding light, a reminder that every moment shared with her was a gift, and that her legacy of love will remain with us all. May she rest in peace, forever a beautiful shooting star in our sky.
